Power generation from waste heat at Badische Stahlwerke

At the Badische Stahlwerke plant site, the DeVeTec waste heat power plant uses the waste heat from the natural gas-fired pusher furnace to produce electricity.

With regard to the discontinuous heat supply of the pusher furnace, the ethanol evaporator unit was adapted according to the requirement for high availability of the waste heat power plant:

The system was funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment as part of the Environmental Innovation Program.
